Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) is a public higher education institution, research and innovation in the engineering and digital fields. Among the 10 members “grandes écoles” of IMT, Télécom Bretagne, Télécom Business School, Télécom ParisTech and Télécom SudParis are part of EIT Digital. The quality and intensity of industry relations has been rewarded through two “Carnot” Institute labels. Every year, 100 business start-ups are thus created within the schools’ incubators.
Telecom ParisTech, a “top-ten” engineering school in Paris, covers all topics of ICT and has developed an innovation ecosystem based on the interaction between training, research and business centers. The school hosts more than 200 PhD students, many of them being deeply involved in international or industrial exchanges through collaborative R&D projects. Télécom Bretagne, with nearly the same number of PhD students, has two main campuses, Brest and Rennes (both in Brittany) and a branch in Toulouse (south of France). The school is member of four competitiveness clusters, putting together academic and company R&D resources. Télécom SudParis, located in Evry near Paris, has developed a three-pronged educational philosophy: project management, innovation, and an inter-cultural approach. Telecom Business School, also based in Evry, has gained a renowned expertise in new technologies and the digital economy and is a member of the EFMD, the AACSB and the FNEGE.
